2023 Scottish Rite Research Society Symposium

In October 2023, the Center for Fraternal Collections and Research hosted the Scottish Rite Research Society Symposium at Indiana University Bloomington. Held in the historic McCalla Building where the CFCR's offices are located, this symposium featured presentations exploring symbolism, philosophy, and development and changes to ritual.

LinkedIn to the Lodge: The Original Social Network

In 2023, CFCR Director, in collaboration with the staff at University Collections at McCalla, curated an exhibit based on the importance of fraternal organizations in the United States. The exhibit opened on October 6, 2023. The exhibit features objects from DeMolay International, Freemasonry, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Independent Order of St. Luke, International Association of Rebekah Assemblies, Knights Templar, National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, Shriners International, Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the World, The Order of Knights of Pythia, and United Order of True Sisters.

The exhibit is currently open in the McCalla Building and is located on the second floor.
