The historic McCalla School building is home to the McCalla Center, which engages students, faculty, visiting researchers, and public audiences with IU's world-class collections that span disciplines, time periods, and geography. McCalla serves as an accessible hub, allowing collections from all IU campuses and across all disciplinary boundaries to exhibit objects so that they can be connected in new and imaginative ways via physical exhibits, digital content, classroom instruction, hands-on interactions, and public events.
The mission of the McCalla Center is to provide accessible exhibition and educational experiences and create opportunities for students, faculty, and the community to engage with collections, IU-generated research, and creative projects in meaningful and innovative ways.
