Biography
Jake is a skilled gallery exhibit technician and exhibit installer with diverse skills in construction and fabrication who performs essential design and installation roles for both University Collections and the IU Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (IUMAA). Jake has a degree in Applied Sciences with an emphasis in construction technology from Vincennes University, and he spent four years at the Eskenazi Museum of Art (EMA) handling, packing, storing, and installing art pieces from across different media. He has experience creating thoughtful and engaging exhibition displays, and he has extensive knowledge of building materials, carpentry, and fabrication in a multitude of contexts. Jake was an important team member in the EMA renovation project and has assisted on collection move projects across the IU Bloomington campus.
Jake also is an independent artist with extensive skills with power drills, sanders, routers, and saws, which allow him to design his own unique wood art pieces.
